Hoop is definitely the place to go in Clacton. My daughter is autistic and she is very very picky with everything but she loves coming to Hoop hairdressers to get her hair washed and cut and our favorite stylist is Ella who is such a great stylist for a start but she also has a lovely way about her making people feel welcome and comfortable. My daughter loves chatting away with her and she loved her experience there today. Thank you for making the whole thing much less stressful for me and for her. I give it 5stars

After moving into the area nearly 5 years ago it took me a long time to find a good Hair Salon with a stylist that would cut my hair perfectly. Hoops was the 4th salon I tried and was really impressed by the lovely decor and friendly staff (everyone is made to feel welcome). Ella, my stylist is a lovely person (we always have a laugh together) but most importantly she’s a fantastic stylist, she always cuts my hair perfectly and is a smiley happy person which makes it a pleasure to have my haircut. Well done Hoops, you’re the best hair salon in the area ❤️

Anazing salon with nicest staff! I was really nervous about having my hair cut as previous hairdressers have ruined my hair in the past. Ella made me feel so comfortable and made my hair feel and look amazing without loosing my much loved length which gave me a nice confidence boost 🙂 She also did my mum's hair and did an amazing job! Mum was flaunting her hair around and said she felt years younger 😊 Brought my daughter for her first big girl wash cut and blowdry after school and Jessica was hands down the beat hairdresser that's ever done her hair! She made Lydia feel very comfortable, was really good with helping her keep still and even gave her hair a lovely style after her cut. I recently had an amazing experience at HOOP. Jess was my stylist, what a gem she is, a real credit to HOOP. From the initial consultation Jess was professional and listened to my vision and advised appropriately, giving me a wealth of advice which was invaluable. She put me at ease straight away. My hair now looks beautiful. I had it coloured and restyled and it feels incredible. My husband of 40 years, has commented not once, but twice, on how lovely it looks. He is a man of few words, so the fact he has acknowledged my hair, is a small miracle in itself...lol 😆 What impressed me the most about HOOP, is the friendliness of all staff. The salon is amazing very clean and beautiful, with a spa feel. You are looked after so well. Refreshments are offered wine, water, tea ( set up beautifully on a tray). I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jess and the team. I am absolutely delighted with my new beautiful, hair style and colour. I've never had anyone show so much time, effort and care into a haircut before. Katie was out of this world with every step of my haircut today from the consultation through to the how's and why of what she was doing to my hair. Every step was explained and I felt as ease knowing that she knew the exact vision that she had in mind. My hair turned out better than I had ever expected can't thank her enough!
I have been seeing Katie to have my hair coloured and cut for the last few years. Not only does she get my colour absolutely spot on every time but she has got my hair into fantastic condition. After years of suffering from alopecia on and off my hair was very thin and damaged but it is now much thicker and healthier. She always talks me through what she is going to do and manages to bring my crazy hair ideas to life without damaging it. I would recommend her to anyone!

Great welcoming atmosphere from Hoop, all the staff are really friendly and helpful. My stylist Olivia coloured cut and blow dryed my hair first time visit to Hoop. I was so impressed with my Daughters hair after her visit I thought I would try too. Previously I have travelled to Ipswich from Clacton to have my hair done. I'm really pleased I have found somewhere local to return too. Olivia is really attentive at listening to what I wanted and kept checking I was happy and advised me really well to get to where I want to be. My appointment wasn't just a trim was a big change and I'm so happy with it. Will definitely be back. Pricing was good, treatment that was recommended was brilliant my hair feels so healthy and shampooing is done in another quiet area with calming music and lighting was a real treat, wonderful massage too. And they also serve great coffee 5 star ⭐ all round.

I've been coming to Hoop for years and am always happy with the service. Olivia is lovely and cuts and styles my hair beautifully.
Sort of happy with my cut however I felt the the stylist was trying to do and easy fast cut (appointment was at 5pm) she advised me against the style I showed her I wanted. I then felt like I had to sort of fight with her on the length that I wanted. UPDATE very happy now, after receiving a call about my previous visit I was invited back so that the style I originally wanted could be done.

Great haircut, I have mine in a textured pixie crop and Tim cuts exactly how I like it - it’s so easy to maintain throughout the weeks till I go back for another cut. The salon has a lovely atmosphere, very clean, very restful, so it feels like a bit of ‘me’ time - even the room where you have your hair washed is like a relaxing spa with soft lighting - it’s little things that make the difference between any salon and your favourite salon, so my hour here is a bit of respite from the world!
